Having dinner at Tanya's. It's excellent; she made this chicken dish that she calls 'crap chicken': baked drumsticks with some kind of marinade and herbs sprinkled atop. Very nice.
In line at Walmart: My daughter: Daddy, hey daddy! Me: What? Her: I just farted. Me: That's great Honey. Say excuse me... Her: Excuse Me. Me: Okay, that's good.
Today, Christina and I are putting together Shayla's main Christmas present from her Grandmas and Grandpas. This Trampoline pictured here--sans this kid. :)
This is a pretty neat 3G Video Calling App for smart phones. The iPhone 4 is currently supported. I'm not sure what other phones are supported at this time, but it's worth looking into if you are the kind of person who likes to have occasional video calls with friends and family. It's nice when you're on-the-go and don't happen to have Wi-Fi access. The app is free for iPhones. http://www.tango.me/product/index.php
Shayla: They're not playing with me! (She's standing on the sidelines while the action is going and complaining about it.) Me: Sometimes you just have to include yourself. Go kick the ball! What do you expect? Printed Invitations? A little more sulking, then playing ensued. After that it was keeping the ball on the ground and 'in play' that was fun. Learning about rules and fairness. Oh boy. :)
Shayla (my toddler) is voting for a 24 hr. Playground where there's floodlights so that you can play after dark. I'm trying to educate, but she's not amenable to it.
I was feeling very lonely under the 'house arrest' of being a S.A.H.D. for the past couple of yrs., but alas there are many of us. :) SAHD groups should b more common.
How I love hearing parents trying to reason w/ their kids at the park!.. It's hard to describe..it's like running into my long lost tribe of societal colleagues. Yay!
