Will Apple computer Inspire or Squelch Future Programmers and Coders with this iTrend??

  There are a few Real Concerns with Apple's Closed System MO. It's great for preventing problems and making sure that musicians, writers, and the like get their cut, but what about the creative verve of programmers, coders and developers themselves?? Those folks came from an environments of open systems. Those systems  truly 'bore' them to become what they have become. Is there a way to proceed where both security and stability of systems are supported As Well As the Creative Genius that Made Them?
