I Was Aiming for Surf & Turf

....but it was not well enough planned. I had the onions, garlic, yellow curry, and coconut oil in the pan. I was planning to add the ground beef that we had in the fridge, but then I remembered the scallops that I had defrosted and were just sitting in there being all 'scallopy' and everything-- bored and aging by the day. I thought, "Aah, a 'surf and turf' approach just might work here. The thing was, I had alteady travelled too far down the beef trail to be able to successfully add anything from the ocean. Oh well. So, in a moment of what should not be called genius, I grabbed them and threw them in the pan. Oops, that was definitely not the right place for scallops. I knew that, but I was stretching, thinking "I need to use these, and who knows, maybe it'll turn out okay." Negative. While the dish tasted okay on the whole, your taste buds could not quite figure out what it wanted to be. I tried to mend the gaffe, but the fix didn't take. One mark for experience; one more file for bin 13.
