While this tool looks like a painless way to backup your Posterous blogs for easy migration, there can be a few hitches to the process as I've come to discover. Fortunately, the developer(s) is/are a very 'hands on' group located in Europe. I have yet to make a successful backup of the entirety of my three blogs that have been hosted by Posterous over the past four years. But I do have faith that the process will eventually be smoothed out. It appears that a lot of the glitches are on the Posterous' Servers side of things. If you have blogs on Posterous and you are looking to export your material and not simply "forget about it" and begin again, then this single use tool may be something that you should check out given, of course, that your machine of action will be a Mac.
