My child slept through the night all of last night! I am so thrilled about that b/c the past few nights she had been waking up several times during the night crying and screaming. That is no fun and very disturbing. She is usually a very sound sleeper, so this was quite a surprise to us. Of course you have to figure out what it is when they're 2 1/2. They can tell you a little, but that's about all, and what they tell you may also not be the total reason for the disturbance, especially if it's 2 or 3 fold.

Congratulations on a full night of sleep :)
Maybe dreams woke her up before.
Ear infection?
No, I don't think it was ear stuff as there was no pulling or otherwise fiddling with either ear during the day. The best we came up with was that it might have been some 'molar teething' (she had been chewing on her rubber utensils a little excessively) . It appears that she has all her teeth, we think anyway. After 2 successive nights of the above we gave her a little childs' motrin. She slept right thru. Each successive nite since she has been fine without the motrin, so who knows? Perhaps it was dream related.
She was chewing on my straw last night, and trying to chew on her little ball. She chewed an entire carrot, I thought she seemed like she might be doing teething type of chewing. That is probably it. I am glad she slept good.
